PLEASE READ!

Our Satellite Club’s efforts make a real difference right here in our community! 💙 We received this amazing email from Katie Mueller with Constellation Craft Kits after our recent service project and had to share her words:

“Good morning, Staci! I cannot thank you and your amazing group enough for your help assembling our craft kits. I still can’t believe you all were able to get over a thousand kits assembled in 2 hours. That’s crazy and so. so wonderful. You all REALLY lightened my load and left our organization in such a great place for our winter distribution. Because of you all I was able to use my time at the office last week to do some tasks that I had been putting off for months.

I loved spending the evening with you and your group- what an amazing group of people. Everyone was so kind, hard working, fun, and passionate. I also really appreciate how everyone helped clean up afterward and even transport the finished kits to our storage room. I just want you to know how grateful I am to you all and would absolutely love to work with your Rotary Club again if you all are interested. Wishing you a beautiful week. Thank you again, Staci!”

Celebrating Generosity: Andreas Teich Reaches Paul Harris Major Donor Level Two

At last Tuesday’s meeting, the Rotary Club of Bay City recognized Andreas Teich for reaching Paul Harris Major Donor Level Two for his giving to The Rotary Foundation.

Gifts to the Foundation support Rotary’s work around the world, including polio eradication, clean water, education and disease prevention. Thank you, Andreas, for your commitment to Service Above Self.

Tomorrow at Rotary: Bay County Update with Jim Barcia

Bay County Executive Jim Barcia joins the Rotary Club of Bay City on Tuesday, October 27 for a look at what’s happening across the county and what’s ahead.

Jim has served as Bay County Executive since 2017. Before that, he served as a U.S. Congressman and a Michigan State Senator, so he brings a long view of how local, state and federal decisions affect Bay County.

đź’™ 1,016 Craft Kits. 2 Hours. One AMAZING Night of Service! đź’™

What an incredible evening with our Rotary Satellite Club of Bay City! 🧡

Tonight, our group came together to assemble grab-and-go craft kits for Constellation Craft Kits, an amazing nonprofit that provides activities for children undergoing medical treatments, including cancer, at seven different hospitals across Michigan.

And WOW, did our volunteers show up! 🙌

🎨 1,016 craft kits assembled in just TWO HOURS! We were told this was the largest number of kits ever assembled in a single two-hour session! How awesome is that?!

The room was filled with conversations, laughter, smiles, and stories. But somewhere between all the assembling and fun, we were reminded of something pretty powerful. Sometimes the smallest acts of service can make the BIGGEST difference, especially in the life of a child going through something incredibly difficult. ❤️

If you haven’t already, please take a moment to follow Constellation Craft Kits on Facebook. This incredible nonprofit is run by one amazing woman named Katie, who is truly all smiles, warm hugs, and gratitude. Her heart for these children is contagious! There is a constant need for volunteers and donations year-round, and every little bit helps.

🎥 We hope you enjoy this short video from tonight! Although, I have to say, it doesn’t come close to capturing the energy, fun, and impact that filled that room.

THIS is what Rotary is all about. People coming together, giving a little of their time, and making a whole lot of difference! đź’™

🌟 Join us tomorrow at Bay City Noon Rotary!

This week, we’re pleased to welcome Chuck Cusick, known to many Rotarians as “Mr. Polio,” for an update on the global fight to end polio!

For more than 20 years, Chuck and his wife Nancy have traveled the world supporting Rotary’s polio eradication efforts, including vaccination missions in Africa and the Middle East. As a Longtime Rotary polio advocate, Chuck now shares the story of this work with groups across our region. He’ll bring us the latest on where things stand, how far we’ve come, and what it will take to finish the job.

With World Polio Day coming up on October 24, there’s no better time to hear from someone who has seen this work firsthand.

Rotarians and guests are welcome to join us!

Calling all Rotarians, community partners, contractors, and neighbors: we have an immediate opportunity to help Mission 22 Service Dogs.

Their building in Linwood has an active roof leak. They’ve been told the rubber roof may need sealant, but they need someone with roofing experience to assess it and help get the work done. If you know a roofer who could take a look, or a business that may be willing to donate labor or materials, please help us make that connection.

Mission 22 Service Dogs pairs veterans with service dogs and provides their training at no cost. Let’s pull together our networks and support the people who serve our veterans.

Please contact Bay City Rotary Satellite Club President Staci Cianek at 989-992-3242 or [email protected] you can help or know someone who can.

We’re also inviting all Rotarians and community partners to join us for the three upcoming service projects on the flyer below. We would love to serve alongside you!
