November is Native American Heritage Month, and we are celebrating by recognizing the accomplishments of our Indigenous sisters who have pushed the YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women. Our newest staff member, Jill Pfeiffer, started as the Operations and Program Coordinator on September 1st. Jill is a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and is a longtime community helper in our region. As founder of Great Lakes Bay Parents and through her work with the Great Starts and STEM Pipeline, she has helped young parents find resources and events for their families. Jill is excited to continue this work at the YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region.
