Laiklyn developed bilateral
FAI (femoralacetabular impingement) and bilateral labrum tears because she grew too fast for her active lifestyle. She previously had a sacral fracture.She's failed conservative therapies including PT, meds and injections which will require bilateral hip surgery. Only one hip surgery is done at a time. Spaced a minimum of 6 months a part and homebound status for portions of both her 6/7 grade year. She's unable to dance which she did 9 years. It's allowed an opportunity to try new things but is incredibly isolating for a girl who just wants to participate. We are thankful for all the donations from local families to help make this Giveaway possible.
