Life has a way of breaking us. But being broken does not mean being destroyed. This Sunday at Renew Church, we explored 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 and discovered a powerful truth: God does not promise that we will avoid suffering, but he does promise that our suffering will not have the final word.
Like a clay jar that carries a priceless treasure, our fragile, cracked lives hold something extraordinary -- the very power and presence of Christ. The pressure around you may be great, but the power within you is greater.
Paul reminds us that our momentary light affliction is producing an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory. Your pain has an expiration date. God's promises do not.
