They nailed it. 🎉 Dress rehearsal = SUCCESS.

Nearly 40 wildly talented kids just proved they're ready — and this cast looks INCREDIBLE. 💥

Huge shoutout to our incredibly talented (and 15-year-old!) costume & set designer, Clara Clarke, who took this show full retro — an early 90s vibe straight out of the original Matilda movie. (Yes, parents, early 90s is retro now. We know. 😅)

Tickets are officially on sale for Matilda Jr.! 📚✨

Picture her: curled up in a big leather armchair, surrounded by towering shelves of books, completely lost in a story — because in Matilda's world, a library card is basically a superpower. That's the girl about to take the stage.

But it's not just Matilda! All the revolting children are taking the stage — and this time, it's entirely their vision that brings it to life. Matilda Jr. comes from Louisiana Youth Theatre, where kids and teens direct, act, choreograph, stage manage, build, and lead every part of the show. With a cast of over 35 kids and an all-youth artistic team behind them, this is theater truly by youth, for youth — and a story about finding your voice and refusing to let anyone else write it couldn't be a more perfect fit.
