🎨 September is a big month for Arts in Education! 🎶

We're celebrating the impact of Arts in Education all month long, and our Arts in Education $500 Bonus Opportunity is heating up!

Six area schools are competing for an additional $500 in Arts in Education funding, based on the total membership support raised for each school during BAAC's membership drive.

And we've got a new leader! 👀

🏆 Batesville Primary School has jumped into first place!

But there's still plenty of time for the other schools to catch up. The membership drive continues through September 18, which also happens to be the final day of National Arts in Education Week.

Why does this matter? Because BAAC's Arts in Education program gives students opportunities to learn, create and succeed through the arts, across the curriculum. Last school year alone, that meant 6,140 student interactions with the arts across our six area schools.

Last school year, BAAC's Arts in Education program created 6,140 student interactions with the arts across our six area schools. 🎨🎶

That's 6,140 moments to create, perform, listen, learn, explore and experience something new.

Arts in Education has been at the heart of BAAC since 1988, and it's one of the biggest reasons we continue to do what we do.

Want to help make more of those opportunities possible? Our membership drive is underway through September 18.

And right now, St. Louis Catholic School is in the lead for the Arts in Education $500 Bonus, with Batesville Intermediate School close behind!

Every membership helps give students more opportunities to learn, create and succeed through the arts, across the curriculum.

What's Happening This Weekend 🎶

Start your Saturday at the Batesville Farmers Market with live music from Sean Swenson from 9–11 AM! 🎶

And while you're downtown, check out the Arts & Innovation Hub at Batesville Memorial Public Library. The Innovation Studio gives community members a place to try something new, learn new skills, and get creative with a variety of equipment and tools.

Celebrating Arts in Education ❤️

This year’s Arts in Education Award honors someone who has made a meaningful difference in the lives of local students through the arts. We’re proud to celebrate Lynn DiMuzio for her dedication to making Batesville Middle School students have opportunities to create, learn, and experience the arts from arts classes to social studies to science.

Supporting Arts in Education is at the heart of what BAAC does. When you become a BAAC member during our current membership drive, your support can help one of our local schools earn an extra $500 in Arts in Education funding for the 2026–2027 school year.

🎨 Arts in Education Bonus Opportunity!

Starting today through September 18th, your membership can help your school earn an extra $500 in Arts in Education funding!

When you join or renew your BAAC membership, choose one of our six participating schools. At the end of the drive, the school that receives the most membership dollars throughout the month (in proportion to its student enrollment) will receive the $500 bonus for the 2026–27 school year.

The Batesville Area Arts Council's Celebration of the Arts is our annual meeting, but it's much more than that. It's an opportunity to look back on the past year's accomplishments, recognize the people who make our work possible, and share what's ahead for the coming year.
