The Batesville Youth Football Board and Coach Ulery have been busy this offseason in getting ready for the 2026 season.

As a board, we value good sportsmanship while also creating a fun and safe experience. Thank you to everyone who completed our end of season survey as we appreciate feedback from parents and the community.

During the past few months the board has reviewed our current league (Eastern Indiana Youth Football League) structure and also reviewed the Tri-State Youth Football Association structure to ensure we are positioning ourselves for a positive future of Batesville football. After a lengthy process, the board has decided to stay with our current league.

As the past couple years, player registration will open after spring break for the 2026 season and will close on May 31, 2026.

New this year will be a coach registration that will also be open after spring break and close on May 31, 2026. Anyone looking to be a head coach or assistant coach will be required to attend a coach's clinic during the summer (dates will be communicated at a later date). The clinic will review rules, responsibilities, expectations, and how coaches will be reviewed and selected by the board.

The Batesville Youth Football family is saddened to hear of the passing of Coach Chad Bruce of Trojans Youth Football. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, team and community. His contributions to his players and the game will be remembered.

As the 2025 season comes to a close, we would like to thank our players, parents and coaches for a great year. We would also like to thank our sponsors for their generous support of Batesville Youth Football!

As a reminder, our last equipment pick up of the season will be tomorrow from 5:30 to 6:30 at the equipment shed.

Our tailgate will kick off tonight beginning at 5:30. We will be located next to the tennis courts in the BHS parking lot. We'll be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and dessert!

At 6:30, coaches will walk players over to the field to watch the first half of the game. Players and coaches will be announced at half time. After halftime, parents/guardians are to get their child by the entrance to the football field in front of the concession stand.

Homecoming is this coming Friday on September 12! Batesville Youth Football will be participating by having three floats (one for K/1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th). We have trucks and trailers lined up for the parade and will be available Friday evening.

To keep things simple and respectful of property, we will not be decorating the floats. Players are to wear blue game jersey and can toss candy but are responsible for bringing their own.

Parade starts at 5pm with lineup at 4:30pm in front of the Intermediate School building and parents will need to pick up their child at that same location afterwards.

On Saturday, September 13 we will be hosting games for youth football. Volunteers are needed for gate, concessions, and clean up. If you are interested in earning your volunteer fee back, please use the signup link below to reserve your spot. If you plan to volunteer, please sign up by the end of day TODAY, otherwise any open slots will be offered to students needing volunteer hours. Thank you everyone for helping to make this a successful event.

If you ordered apparel from the online store, your items are in! Pick-up will be TONIGHT from 5:30 to 6 PM in the equipment shed.

Weekend Reminders
On Saturday, August 23 all Batesville teams will be playing our league games at Greenfield Central High School. On Sunday, August 24 all teams will be playing at Lucas Oil Stadium. The games at Lucas Oil are in addition to our regular season games and are not affiliated with our league. We're excited to give players, coaches, family and friends a great new experience! If your player is NOT attending, please let their coach know so coaches can plan accordingly.

As we begin the season, we want to remind everyone the importance of good sportsmanship on and off the field and also making sure all family and friends are respectful of school property.

It's important parents are aware of where their children are at all times and make sure they're being safe and respectful.

We look forward to a great football season and continuing to build a successful Batesville program.

Gate fee is cash $2 per person or $5 per family. We don't anticipate schedule changes but recommend you check the SportsYou app weekly for game times and locations.

Final details for the Lucas Oil event on Sunday, August 24 will be coming this weekend.
