✨ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: KRISTINA ✨

Kristina is a wife, mom of three, creative soul, and one of the many women who discovered confidence in unexpected places through Lady Sentinel.

She and her husband originally bought their first handgun during quarantine, thinking it was simply a practical decision. Before long, learning together became date nights at the range, conversations over dinner, and eventually a journey that would push her far beyond her comfort zone.

When Kristina attended her first Lady Sentinel session, she found more than firearm education — she found community.

One of her biggest fears? Shotguns.

“The last time I tried to shoot a shotgun, my shoulder was bruised for a week.”

She signed up for Boomsticks planning to simply observe. By the end of class, she not only understood how shotguns worked… she shot one herself and left feeling proud instead of intimidated.

Since joining Lady Sentinel, Kristina has also discovered a love for competition shooting, describing the experience of hearing women cheer her on “like a rock star” as a moment that changed how she saw herself.

“I joined expecting to learn a skill, but I found something far greater — confidence, community, and the courage to see myself differently.”

Summer is here and so is a full season of Lady Sentinel sessions.

From building confidence and communication skills in June to carrying with confidence in December — we have something for every woman, wherever she is in her journey.

A few highlights from this month's newsletter:
📅 July 26 — Ladies Match at Sparta. We're heading to the World Shooting & Recreation Complex for the Ladies Day Match, plus a special Lady Sentinel shotgun stage after. Never shot a match? This is a great first one.
🎯 Vision Board Workshop — July 18. Fi****ms training builds the foundation. This workshop helps you build the vision. Join us at Manchester Parks & Recreation, 8:00–10:00 AM.
✨ And that's not all — woven throughout the calendar are special events still being finalized, including another trip to Jay Henges for outdoor shooting, a hike, our Founders Event, and a concealed carry fashion show. Details coming soon.

What a fun afternoon at our Women’s Self-Defense Workshop. 💪😂

This class was filled with laughter, movement, teamwork, and practical training designed to build real confidence.

Women worked through partner drills, leverage-based techniques, and real-world scenarios in a supportive environment where learning and humor went hand in hand.

Shoutout to Phil for being an excellent sport during training drills. 😂
One of the best parts of the day was seeing women laugh, learn, and realize just how effective these techniques can be with the right training and reps.

That’s what Lady Sentinel is all about.

Join us for an afternoon of practical women’s self-defense training focused on awareness, movement, leverage-based techniques, and realistic partner drills designed for real-world situations.
