We're working on a new website designed to better share our impact, highlight the lives touched through organ, eye, and tissue donation, and make it easier for our community to connect with our programs and mission.

From the Got the Dot? Leadership Program to our Gift of Life program, donor family support, community outreach, and more, we're creating a space that tells the story of the incredible people who make this work possible.

Today, we proudly celebrate the final group of our Got the Dot? High School Leadership Program Seniors from the Class of 2026! 🎓💙

Congratulations to Kameryn, Donovan, Lorelai, Ali, Gabriella, Juan, Emma, Eunice, Kailee, Lucas, Kermina, Lakshi and Malorie as they graduate and begin the next chapter of their lives.

Throughout their time in the Got The Dot Leadership Program, these students have helped educate their peers, raise awareness about organ, eye & tissue donation, volunteer in our community, and inspire others through their leadership and compassion. They have represented their schools with pride and have helped further the mission of JJ’s Legacy in meaningful ways.

As they walk across the stage, we celebrate not only their academic achievements, but also the impact they have made through service, advocacy, and leadership. Their voices have helped spread hope, encourage conversations, and inspire others to make a difference.

To our graduates: thank you for sharing your time, your talents, and your hearts with us. We are honored to have been part of your journey and cannot wait to see where your futures take you.

Tonight marks the beginning of graduation celebrations for our incredible Got the Dot? High School Leadership Program seniors, and we could not be more proud. 🎓💙

Congratulations to Sarah from East Bakersfield High School, Jared from Stockdale High School, and Kizito from Ridgeview High School as they graduate tonight!

Over the past year, each of you brought compassion, leadership, and heart to this program while helping educate others about the importance of organ, eye & tissue donation. Through your volunteerism, advocacy, and commitment to your schools and community, you helped create awareness that truly makes a difference.

Beyond the work you’ve done, we’ve loved watching each of you grow, build friendships, and become leaders both on your campuses and within the JJ’s Legacy family.

Through your generous support, JJ’s Legacy is able to provide Gift of Life, Gift of Love Boxes to donor recipients and families navigating the transplant journey.

Filled with comfort items, snacks, hygiene essentials, journals, and thoughtful touches, these boxes are designed to bring encouragement, care, and hope during some of life’s most emotional and challenging moments.

The photos shared here represent the real impact of this program in local lives touched by compassion, community, and the power of organ donation.

Our Treasure Every Moment Gala was truly a beautiful and inspiring evening, filled with purpose, connection, and the powerful reminder of the Gift of Life. 💙

Two of the most unforgettable moments of the night were honoring Ericka and Emma.

Emma, an incredible 11-year-old, living because of Carter’s heart. She was awarded a $5,000 scholarship to support her future college dreams—a future made possible through the selfless gift of organ donation.

Ericka, whose journey has touched so many, was also awarded a $5,000 scholarship as she returns to school to pursue her dream of becoming a registered nurse—continuing the cycle of care and compassion.

We were also honored to hear from Vernon B. Harper Jr., President of California State University, Bakersfield, who shared his personal story as a living donor, saving his sister’s life through kidney donation. His story was a powerful reminder that the Gift of Life isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we can all be part of.

These are the moments that define our mission—turning loss into hope, and honoring lives by helping others live on.

Thank you to our incredible community for showing up, giving generously, and believing in the mission of JJ’s Legacy. Because of you, lives are being changed right here in Kern County. 💗
