Our spring general membership meeting will take place at PLYMC's Austintown Library located at 600 S. Raccoon Rd. on Monday, March 23rd, from 6-7:30 pm. Librarian Sean T. Posey will give a brief presentation on Rare Historic Images of the Mahoning Valley before the business meeting, during which members will vote on proposed by-law revisions. Guests are welcome. Please RSVP to Kathy Gerberry at [email protected] or call or text 330-881-6847 by Thursday, March 19th. If you are a member and unable to attend, please let us know your preferred method for receiving a copy of the proposed by-law revisions.

Due to our parking lots being unplowed and/or icy, today's open houses at both the Austin Log Cabin and Strock Stone House have been canceled. Open houses will resume on March 1. Have a wonderful holiday season!

Our 2026 membership drive continues! Join now and don't pay dues again until 2027. The past two years have been a time of rebuilding for our Society, and we truly need your support to continue. Despite the very small size of our group, we’ve accomplished a lot during this time, such as:
**Hosting monthly open houses at the Austin Log Cabin and the Strock Stone House, as well as our very popular Holiday and Spring High Teas
**Working with the Township to transfer utility expenses for the cabin from the Society to the Township, allowing us to put our funds towards other things, like…
**Expanding our scholarship program, offering two $1,000 scholarships to Austintown-Fitch High School graduating seniors in 2025
**Reactivating this page and using it to increase both attendance at open houses and general awareness of the society
**Updating our brochure
**Using the fundraising platform Zeffy to accept credit card payments, making supporting us easier than ever
**Working to build relationships and share knowledge with neighboring historical societies at events like the Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s local history fair in September
