Join us this coming Thursday, May 7 for our regularly scheduled meeting where our featured speaker will be Cathy Hura from the Silver Lining Cancer Fund. Ms. Hura will be giving us some background on the organization which supports people that are going through active cancer treatment including chemotherapy and radiation. Four Fitch students competed in the Austintown Rotary 4 Way Speech Contest on April 1. The annual event will enable a winner to compete at the District Rotary Event on April 25 in North Canton. The students prepared an original current topic with emphasis on the Rotary 4 Way Test which asks:
Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better relationships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Judges chose a winner and alternate from the contestants. Fitch speech coach Terri Dutton assisted in the event. Pictured left to right Rotarian Gary Reel, contestants Khloey Foley, Zoey Kovach, winner Stasia Dilts, alternate Peyton D***s, and Rotarians Robert Harvey and Jamie Ciccone.
