Dr. Bonnie Taylor is a leadership strategist and the founder of Taylor Strategic Consulting. After more than 20 years in higher education and corporate consulting Bonnie made the bold decision to launch her own consulting and coaching firm, bringing decades of experience in leadership development, organizational strategy, and talent development into a new industry.

Through Taylor Strategic Consulting, Bonnie partners with organizations, nonprofits, and leaders to strengthen leadership capacity, develop high-performing teams, and create strategies that support sustainable growth. Her work reflects both deep expertise and a willingness to embrace change—demonstrating that career pivots can be powerful opportunities to expand impact.

Dr. Taylor’s s journey is a reminder that leadership is not only about guiding others, but also about having the courage to evolve, take risks, and create new pathways forward.

Jovan Eley joined Treasure Our Daughters Academy in 2023. She currently works for a property management firm in the accounting department. She has previously held administrative and accounting roles in the public and government sectors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration. She has plans in the near future to complete her doctoral studies to be of further value to the organization.
Jovan has been truly blessed by serving within the organization in her current role. She has learned and grown so much while being involved in the organization and under the leadership of the Founder and CEO. She feels what makes Treasure Our Daughters Academy, which is rooted in prayer, a necessary investment in the community as a whole, is the way the organization is making a difference in the lives of young girls. The organization has provided sessions to equip the girls in financial literacy, promoting positive change in local problems with community service initiatives, giving the girls safe places and encouraging role models while creating leaders in their community, schools, and spheres of influence.

An accomplished and visionary higher education leader, Dr. Melissa Hodge-Penn brings over 15 years of executive-level experience in research administration, institutional strategy, and oversight of complex enterprise-wide research portfolios. Throughout a distinguished career, she has demonstrated an exceptional ability to scale research infrastructure, foster interdisciplinary innovation, and ensure rigorous regulatory compliance.

Hodge-Penn has uniquely served across the full spectrum of research leadership, including critical roles as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research, Associate Vice Chancellor for Research, and Interim Vice Chancellor for Research. In these capacities, she successfully managed multi-million-dollar research expenditures, optimized operational frameworks, and spearheaded strategic initiatives that significantly elevated the institution’s national research profile and funding competitiveness. A collaborative partner to faculty, government agencies, and industry stakeholders, Dr. Hodge-Penn is recognized for driving academic excellence while championing a culture of research integrity and inclusivity.

Donna is a higher education professional, ordained minister, mentor, and community advocate with over 20 years of experience supporting student success and community engagement. Donna serves on the Treasure Our Daughters Academy Board of Directors and is a member of the Curriculum, Instruction & Evaluation Committee.

In less than two weeks, we will welcome our next cohort of girls to Treasure Our Daughters Academy!

This marks our 5th cohort, and we couldn't be more excited to meet these incredible young ladies. As we begin another year of learning, growth, sisterhood, and empowerment, we look forward to helping each girl discover her value, build her confidence, and reach her full potential.

The countdown is on, and we can't wait to see what this year has in store!
