“Lets talk about giving back”
The vision started in 2001 - 2002. The Founder Russell Ivan McCloud would have lots of (Events / BBQ’s / Cookouts), and at the same time he wanted to feed the homeless and hungry on the streets. The plan was to raise money to purchase more food and cook more than enough food. The excess food was boxed or bagged and Russell Ivan McCloud and friends and family literally walked the streets of Atlanta and Metro Atlanta to feed the homeless and hungry living/sleeping in the streets. This continued to happen through the year of 2013. The Mission was created and four divisions were formed:
Mission - Provide a networking, educating, awareness forum for our future leaders and entrepreneurs. Also, provide community service by offering food, clothing and assistance to those in need.
The year of 2013 - Russell Ivan McCloud had a bigger vision. He wanted to feed more people; not only the homeless and hungry, but the working poor as well. He certainly identified with the working poor. Russell Ivan McCloud kept a job making less than $40,000 a year while starting and working this non-profit charitable organization. Sometimes he had to pickup a part-time job just to keep the ball rolling. He became the primary donor to make sure the Mission stayed on point.
April of 2013 - Its ONLY SociaL, Inc. moved into a 800 square foot office space and started the Food Box program. The first year was very bumpy, and lots of mistakes were made. It took a while to get the right amount of food in each box to match the price of each box, which was determined around the cost of each product. To make a long story short. We created 8 different food boxes with prices that cannot be matched anywhere. We also started accepting EBT card purchases with the option of telephone purchasing and free delivery. This was 2014, and the food Box prices have never increased. But, we remained the best kept secret for the next 7 years. We are now known as Its ONLY SociaL - Community Food Services.
