Saddle up! DP is excited to bring the Iron Will Ranch Round-Up to Elbert County this July. Join us for a free western-themed day of fun and community for people with disabilities and their families.

Attendees can enjoy adaptive and accessible activities, including animal experiences, western lasso & toss games, a mechanical bull, and much more!

Attention providers serving Arapahoe, Douglas, and Elbert counties:

Provider grant opportunities for the new fiscal year (FY27) are available starting July 1!

DP is opening applications for grants, with priority for the following funding areas:

- Workforce stabilization
- Service capacity
- Respite services
- Urgent stability (rolling applications accepted)

Dust off your boots and saddle up with DP for our summer western and rodeo events! We’re calling on passionate volunteers to support our community:

- Iron Will Ranch Round Up (Elbert County): July 18
- Exceptional Rodeo (Arapahoe County Fair): July 24
- Unbridled Rodeo (Douglas County Fair & Rodeo): July 29

These events are vibrant, energetic, and full of fun! Volunteers will help with adaptive activities, guide participants, and create a welcoming, inclusive environment. Agency partners are encouraged to wear branded shirts and may provide a handout at the DP tent.

DP’s Community Advisory Committee (CAC) invites community members to our next meeting on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. to share your insights and help improve our programming. Public comments are welcome at every CAC meeting held at DP’s office, with in-person and virtual options. More details will be available on our CAC webpage at https://bit.ly/3CjvuO0.

Comments are heard at the start of each meeting, and you can join in person, call in, or watch via video.
