Happy New Year Everyone!

Seven hours and some change remain until the clock strikes midnight on 2025.

Won't you join me in donating to the third round of Hometown Partners Giving Circle as you ring in the new year? This was launched by the Aurora Area Community Foundation.

A suggested donation of $100 will help us reach our goal, but any amount at all is appreciated.

The giving circle gives power to the people in the communities they serve. We want to continue to support Aurora, Marionville and Verona.

We are proud to be supporting Good Neighbor Week. Let's finish strong.

⏳ Missouri Good Neighbor Week has started (Sept 28 – Oct 4)! ⏳
Neighbors, the clock is ticking! If you haven’t shared your act of kindness yet, now’s the time. A simple gesture—bringing in someone’s trash can, inviting a neighbor for coffee, or checking in on an elderly friend—can make a huge difference.
💡 Remember: When you report your good neighbor story on the Missouri Good Neighbor Week website, you’ll be entered into a random drawing for over $1000 in prizes! Don’t miss your chance to spread kindness AND be recognized for it.
Let’s finish this week strong by filling our neighborhood with generosity and connection. Every act counts, and yours might inspire someone else to step up.
👉 Share your act of kindness here before the week ends: https://missourigoodneighborweek.com

Jim Carr's is the best kept secret in town. Mary Pendergrass and her crew knocked it out of the park for us last night as we welcomed the Children's Smile Center board of directors to town for the August quarterly meeting.

We had a fruit and cheese tray too heavy to carry and some chicken salad sandwiches paired with some ham salad sandwiches. Top all of that off with homemade brownies and chips and we had some happy campers.

The dinner was made possible through the Community Foundation of the Ozarks and Youth Empowerment as a Thank You to the Smile Center, one of our community partners.
