Oregon uses a three-level evacuation system to keep residents informed and safe. Be familiar with “Be Ready, Be Set, Go Now!” notifications:

🟢Level One – BE READY (Green): Stay aware of the wildfire threat and get prepared. Pack your go-kit, check emergency contacts, and ensure those in vulnerable situations (older adults, children, individuals with disabilities, and livestock owners) are ready to evacuate if needed.

🟡Level Two – BE SET (Yellow): Be prepared to leave at any moment. This indicates significant wildfire danger. Voluntary evacuation is encouraged—especially for those needing extra time to relocate safely.

🔴Level Three – GO NOW! (Red): Evacuate immediately! This means extreme danger is present, and it is unsafe to remain in place. Emergency responders may not be able to assist further. Leave immediately without gathering belongings and check https://pulse.ly/86gqglctyh or call 511 for evacuation routes. After evacuating, do not return until officials declare it safe.

Wilsonville Emergency Preparedness Fair

Saturday, August 29, 2026 - 9 AM to noon

The City's fifth annual Emergency Preparedness Fair brings together local experts in emergency management to provide residents with checklists, demonstrations, resources, tips, and giveaways to help households get better prepared to withstand an emergency.

You can start your go bag with the basics--water, a first-aid kit, flashlight, batteries, extra clothes, and important documents--and include more items as you think of them.

Your car is a great place to keep a go bag because many items come in handy on a regular basis, especially if you hike, bike, camp, or have small children.

Keeping a go bag in your car also means you don't have to go back home to retrieve it. If you do keep your go bag at home make sure it's in a location where you can safely grab it if your home is damaged, such as near an exit.

AEP is on the move and we’d like to purchase the following items:
. . . First aid kits
. . . Fire extinguishers
. . . Keyless locks
. . . New tires and a ramp for the back door of our supply trailer
. . . Extra radios and batteries
. . . Miscellaneous items such as banners and decals

In addition, we need to cover the normal administrative expenses of running a nonprofit organization.

We all love our little town, don’t we?

It’s important to recognize that Aurora may face unique challenges during an emergency such as an earthquake, wildfire, train derailment, hazardous chemical spill, or extreme weather event.

A group of Aurora residents called Aurora Emergency Preparedness (AEP) has worked for several years to gather the equipment needed to provide services to our community in an emergency.

We help inform residents about steps they can take to prepare and we are working with the Aurora Fire Department (AFD) to train individual citizens to assist in the event of a disaster.
