As always we want to keep you up to date on reimbursements. We did not go to journal last week, so that means payments will not happen this week. However, we are hopeful that we will go to journal this week and hopefully be able to make payments next week before Thanksgiving.
There was a slight delay in submitting the billing to the state this month that was out of our control.
October claims month is always our busiest claim month because we have to manually process all of the child renewals (almost 13,000) π³π³π³. We begin doing this in September and have a staff that works on this around the clock for the weeks leading up to claims. We were prepared, however Minute Menu/KidKare was not functioning properly and caused us significant delays. It was one thing after another with the program. It is extremely frustrating to have a YFCI claims team that is dedicated, but a program that would not work.
We have been working with Minute Menu/KidKare as they improve their processing speeds and create new infrastructure for the program. They are taking accountability for the delay in submitting the billing. You should be receiving an email from them if you have not already.
The YFCI staff worked as hard as they could and I am thankful for the Claims Team that does NOT stop until the claim is submitted.
We will be checking the portal regularly and will let you know as soon as we see something. We are keeping fingers and toes crossed and we hope you will as well. π€π€π€
