You know Toastmasters has changed you when someone is telling you a perfectly normal story and your brain is doing this:

“Um… 1.”
“Uh… 2.”
“Like… 3.”
“You know… 4.” 😂

At some point, we stopped simply listening to people talk and started mentally filling out the Ah-Counter report.

The struggle is real. 🤣

And the worst part?

Once you hear filler words… you can’t unhear them.

What does the way we dress say about where we feel we belong?

In his creative speech, “Auto-Euphoria,” Peter explored how the clothing we feel comfortable wearing can reflect the subcultures and communities we want to be part of.

Dressed as a wizard monk, Peter fully embraced his message and delivered a presentation that was both thought-provoking and entertaining.

This is what Toastmasters is all about... sharing meaningful ideas while bringing your own personality and creativity to the stage!

Meet the Grammarian, one of the unique and supportive roles in every Toastmasters meeting. The Grammarian’s mission is to help us all sharpen our language skills by introducing a “Word of the Day,” like last week’s word Voracious, and celebrating the beautiful ways our members use language.

It is not just about grammar. It is about growing your confidence and finding better ways to express your ideas. We would love for you to visit us and see how we grow together.

That was the Table Topics challenge, and Sgt Q stepped up and turned a tiny gold statue into an entertaining impromptu speech. This is what Toastmasters is all about: thinking on your feet, trusting yourself, and having fun while building confidence.
