This has been a difficult time for me personally. And if you have noticed that I have not been as present, as engaged or as active as usual — that is why.

Magoo is my priority right now. Completely and without apology.

I know that stepping back even briefly comes with a cost — fewer posts, less engagement, lost followers, missed opportunities. I see it happening and I am choosing her anyway. Because that is what she deserves. That is what she has always deserved.

She was rescued from Mexico almost five years ago after being used for breeding and discarded. She arrived blind in one eye and in terrible shape. She fought her way back. She became the queen of our house. And now she needs surgery to remove two mammary masses that cannot wait.

We have raised $1,364 toward our $6,500 goal. 🙏

We still have a long way to go.

To those of you who have been here for a while — I hope you know my heart. I hope you know that this is temporary and that Juno's Den is not going anywhere. The dogs still need us. The work still matters. And I will be back fully when Magoo is on the other side of this.

Look who we heard from today.

This is Remy — formerly our little Sunny — and she is living her absolute best life.

Surrendered alongside two siblings (one of which we also rescued and is doing great, too). Almost a year in foster care in Washington State between 3 foster homes. And today? Today she is fearlessly taking on a toy three times her size like the tiny queen she has always been!

We love these updates more than words can say. They remind us on the hard days exactly why we do this.

Remy you are everything. Keep ruling that house little one. 👑

👑 PLEASE HELP MAGOO — Senior rescue dog needs urgent surgery

Magoo was rescued from Mexico almost 5 years ago after being used for breeding and discarded. Blind in one eye and full of resilience — she is the queen of our home and we all need your help today.

She has two mammary masses that need urgent surgical removal. We have been quoted up to $8,500 for specialist surgery.
