We are a small non-profit cat rescue run by volunteers and donations from our amazing supporters! MA-F.I.A.

is a non-profit 501(c)3, foster-based, all volunteer, cat rescue group. On a daily basis, our volunteers provide homeless cats and kittens with nourishment, medical treatment, affection, and most of all, help in finding them a loving home. Organizations like ours help the people and cats in our city and surrounding communities. We work hard to network with other local groups, animal shelters and people when a cat or kitten is in need. Our rescue relies solely on the donations from our caring and devoted supporters. Without this, we would not be able to help the cats in need in our community.

🎃 Happy Halloween & A Happy Day for Inka! 🖤🐈‍⬛

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again… BLACK CATS ARE THE BEST! 🖤

This time of year, we’re always extra cautious when it comes to our black kitties, but every once in a while, one gets lucky enough to find a forever home right where they started. And when that happens, we couldn’t be happier!

Meet Inka and her lucky day! 🍀

One of our volunteers had been spotting a large, stray black male cat roaming the neighborhood, so she set a trap hoping to get him to safety. Well, she caught a kitty, but it wasn’t the one she expected! Instead, it was a very friendly black female with half a tail.

She had no microchip and, although she was already spayed, nobody came forward to claim her. After some investigation, we discovered that her tail had lost all feeling due to an old injury and would need to be amputated.

Inka headed off to a foster home, where she spent many months waiting for someone to see just how special she was. There were no adoption applications, no inquiries, and no one seemed to be looking for her.

But sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them. ❤️

Her foster parents fell completely in love with her and decided that Inka wasn’t going anywhere. They officially became her forever family!

From an unexpected trap to a loving home, Inka truly hit the jackpot! And we couldn’t be happier that this sweet girl found her happily ever after.

Happy Halloween, Inka! Your lucky day finally arrived, and the best part is that you never have to leave home again! 🖤🎃

🖤🐈‍⬛ HAPPY NATIONAL BLACK CAT DAY! 🐈‍⬛🖤

Let’s set the record straight: BLACK CATS AREN’T BAD LUCK. THEY’RE PURE MAGIC. ✨

These gorgeous little panthers have been misunderstood for far too long. The truth? They’re loving, playful, goofy, sweet, and just as deserving of a forever home as any other cat. 🖤

🐈‍⬛ Soft, midnight-colored coats.
✨ Big personalities and silly antics.
❤️ Endless love waiting to be shared.

Sadly, black cats can be overlooked in shelters because of their color. And that means some amazing cats miss out on the families they deserve.

So today, we’re celebrating every beautiful, mysterious-looking, big-hearted void out there!

🐾 THE MAGIC OF ADOPTING A SHY CAT 🐾

Let’s talk about shy cats, because they deserve a little extra love. ❤️

When we tell you a cat is shy, we’re not saying they don’t have a personality. We’re simply telling you that they might not be the cat who runs up to greet strangers, immediately jumps into your lap, or demands attention the second you walk through the door.

But shy doesn’t mean boring. Shy doesn’t mean unaffectionate. And shy certainly doesn’t mean they won’t make an amazing companion. 🐱

Sometimes, shy cats are just waiting for their person. The person who makes them feel safe. The person who understands that trust takes time. The person who celebrates the little victories, like the first time they approach you for pets, curl up beside you on the couch, or finally fall asleep feeling completely comfortable in your presence.

And honestly, isn’t that something special? 🥹❤️

Think about it. We’re all a little shy sometimes. We don’t walk into a room full of strangers and immediately feel comfortable with everyone. We don’t necessarily want someone we’ve just met putting their hands all over us and expecting an instant connection. So why do we sometimes expect that from cats?

Even the most outgoing cats deserve the chance to decide when they’re ready for affection. And shy cats? They deserve someone willing to give them that same respect, patience, and understanding.

The beautiful thing about adopting a shy cat is getting to discover who they really are beneath that initial hesitation. You might uncover a playful goofball, a nighttime cuddle buddy, a quiet companion who always wants to be near you, or a little lovebug who just needed time to let their guard down.

You may never have a cat who wants to be carried around like a baby, and that’s okay! Love looks different for every cat. Sometimes it’s a lap full of fur, and sometimes it’s a cat choosing to sit three inches closer to you than yesterday. Both are wins worth celebrating. 🥰

✨ You don’t have to be a shy cat’s rescuer forever. Sometimes, you just have to be the person who shows them they’re safe enough to stop being afraid.

So the next time you’re looking to adopt, don’t overlook the shy ones. Look beyond the first impression. Give them a chance to show you who they are.

You might just find that the cat who took a little longer to choose you becomes one of the most meaningful connections you’ll ever have. 🐾❤️

Adopt the shy cat. Respect their pace. Earn their trust. And discover the love that was waiting there all along!

🐾 Meet Pantone! Your handsome little gentleman with a mischievous side! 🐾

Hi, everyone! My name is Pantone, and I’m a handsome, quiet, laid-back little guy who’s looking for a place to call home! ❤️

I get along with both cats and dogs, as long as you give me a little time to get to know them. I enjoy attention, but I’m a guy who likes things on my terms. I’m happy to hang out on the couch near you (or right beside you!), but don’t expect me to be a lap cat. At bedtime, though, I’d love to snuggle up with you… down by your feet, of course! 😹

I’ll even let you pick me up for a little head-rubbing session, but don’t get too comfortable. I have important kitty business to attend to, and my cuddle appointments are strictly limited!

I’m also a growing boy with a BIG appetite! 🍽️ I’m at a perfect weight right now, but I’m pretty sure I could be convinced to work on that. I enjoy playing with toys, but why settle for ordinary toys when the recycling bin offers so many exciting possibilities? A little mischief keeps life interesting!

I’m a fun-loving, adorable guy with a personality all my own. If you’re looking for a companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and share your bed (with clearly defined boundaries), I just might be your perfect match! 🖤🐈
