A huge thank you to my best friend Kimmy Adamos at Basket Case case for donating these beautiful comfort baskets to Grit & Grace! 💗

We pride ourselves on making sure every woman who comes through our doors has the essentials she needs when she arrives. But Kimmy went a step further and thought about the little things that make someone feel comfortable and cared for when they’re starting over.
Thank you, Kimmy, for thinking of our girls and for always finding ways to make a difference. It means more than you know! 💗

A huge THANK YOU to the North Attleboro Elks 1011 for Phase 2 of their incredibly generous grant! ❤️

Phase 1 The shopping spree 🛒
Phase 2 Assembling welcome bags🛍️
Phase 3 Making a Difference. 💜

Your generosity goes far beyond the items in these bags, it helps women feel welcomed, supported, and reminded that their recovery matters. We are so grateful for your continued belief in and support of Grit & Grace! 🙏🏼

Last year at Wrentham Day, I met a family who shared with me that their loved one was in treatment and would need a safe, supportive community when they were discharged.

Fast forward one year… that loved one has over a year of sobriety and has become a valued member of the Grit & Grace community. ❤️

It’s a reminder of why I show up.

Sometimes, it’s just a quick conversation. Sometimes, someone takes a chance and vulnerably shares how substance use or addiction has affected their life or their family. And sometimes, that conversation becomes the beginning of something life changing.

A conversation can become an opportunity.
An opportunity can become a safe place.
And a safe place can give someone the chance to heal, grow, and thrive.

Today, I was back at Wrentham Day, having conversations, meeting new people, and sharing what Grit & Grace is all about.

And I can’t help but wonder… maybe one of the conversations I had today will be the connection that changes a life one year from now. ❤️

You never know what can come from simply being willing to talk.

In the sober house community, “I’ll be watching you” is an understatement. 😂

A HUGE thank you to the Rotary Club of Attleboro, Massachusetts for helping Grit & Grace upgrade our security cameras!

Community support like this is what reminds us that we’re never doing this work alone. When our community shows up, it makes a real difference!

Today, as we approach Overdose Awareness Day on August 31st, I had the honor of volunteering with the SAFE Coalition to plant 978 flags in memory of the Massachusetts residents who lost their lives to overdose this past year. 💜

978 lives. 978 families. 978 stories that mattered.

The numbers are down, and that is something to be grateful for, but 978 is still far too many. There is still so much work to do.

As the founder of Grit & Grace, I know firsthand how important recovery, connection, compassion, and a safe place to land can be.

Today, we remember those we lost.
We honor their lives.
And we keep doing the work for those who are still here. 💜

How lucky are we that here at Grit and Grace we get to witness and celebrate milestones that once felt impossible. Because recovery was chosen, doors opened, lives changed, and fresh starts became reality.
This beautiful moment is the result of a woman who refused to give up on herself, embraced recovery wholeheartedly, and believed she was worthy of a different life. Today, she is surrounded by a tribe of women reminding her that sisterhood, love, and support continue far beyond these walls 💙💙💙

Some days I have to pause and remind myself how lucky I am to do this work. Being invited into someone’s healing journey is not something I take lightly. At Grit & Grace Sober Living, we celebrate growth in big and small ways. One of my favorite traditions is gifting personalized sweatshirts to honor a woman’s one-year sobriety milestone. It’s more than a sweatshirt, it’s a symbol of grit, grace, perseverance, and choosing yourself every single day. I’m so proud of the women who call GGSL home, and I’m really looking forward to handing out many, many more of these sweatshirts as we continue to watch lives change.
Recovery is possible. Healing is happening here.
