🎓 Congratulations to the Spring River School Senior Class of 2026! 🎓

As our graduates step into their next chapter, we wanted to share a few words from their former English teacher, Ms. Dana, whose encouragement and belief in these young people helped shape part of their journey:

Congratulations graduates.

Graduation is a celebration of courage, growth, and the unique journey each of you chose to take. You should be proud not only of where you are today, but also of the path that brought you here.

By becoming part of Spring River, you began forging your own way. You took ownership of your education and made it your own. You chose something new and different. You stepped away from the traditional path, took a chance, trusted a vision, and helped shape an entire school. That decision required independent thinking, confidence, and courage.

Because of that choice, you became more than students; you became pioneers. You helped build community and create a place where learning looked different. Your education was shaped by you. Classes were created with your interests in mind.

As you move into this next chapter of life, remember that you have already done something many people never do: you stepped into the unknown and succeeded. Carry that confidence with you. You can choose what is best for you, even when it goes against the mainstream.

You can take chances.
You can do hard things.
You can succeed.

You are ready for your next chapter!

Congratulations!

With love,
Ms. Dana

🌿 We are so proud of each of you and grateful for the role you have played in shaping Spring River’s story. Once a pioneer, always a pioneer.

A few days after graduation, Charity Corson raised her right hand and took an oath that few her age are willing to take.
Miss Rosie, Spring River’s founding math teacher, attended Charity’s enlistment ceremony along with Charity's mother, Ms Kelly Corson, and shared that she was deeply moved watching these young men and women swear to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. Coming in the days following Memorial Day, the moment carried a special weight and reverence.
Just days earlier, Charity had celebrated her high school graduation. Now she was stepping forward into a new chapter of service as she begins her journey with the United States Marine Corps.
There is something profoundly inspiring about a young person choosing a path that asks so much of them—discipline, courage, sacrifice, commitment, and perseverance in service to something larger than themselves.
From graduation to boot camp in a matter of days, Charity’s journey reminds us that adulthood is not simply about independence, but about responsibility, purpose, and the willingness to answer a call.
The Spring River community is proud of Charity and grateful for the example she sets. We wish her strength, wisdom, and success as she begins this next chapter.
Congratulations, Charity. We will be cheering you on every step of the way.
🇺🇸 Semper Fidelis.

Our very first Spring River High School graduating class. 🌿🎓

What began as a vision, a hope, and a courageous leap into something new has now become a living reality. These students have helped pioneer and shape the very soul of our high school program through their creativity, resilience, humor, humanity, and willingness to grow together.

Surrounding them in this photo are teachers who have walked beside them with deep care and devotion — mentors who have not only taught lessons, but who have witnessed, encouraged, challenged, and loved these young people through the beautiful unfolding of adolescence into adulthood.

There is something profoundly moving about a first graduating class. They carry the spirit of beginnings. They become part of the foundation story forever.

We are so proud of each of these graduates and deeply grateful to the families, teachers, and community members who believed this was possible.

The future is unfolding before them now, and we cannot wait to see where life leads each one.

With love and celebration,
Spring River School đź’™

👨‍🍳Yesterday in the High School Culinary kitchen, the machete made its annual return for coconut opening season. 🥥✨
Students spent the day preparing for two special community gatherings — creating falafel waffle batter and toppings for tonight's High School Showcase waffle bar, while also crafting beautiful offerings for Sunday’s Whitsun Festival of Light, including a sublime coconut cream cake with a mango-strawberry coconut crust.
There is something deeply meaningful about young people preparing food together for community celebrations. Through real ingredients, real tools, and shared work, students experience creativity, collaboration, responsibility, and care in a living way.
From coconuts and waffles to Whitsun cakes and laughter around the table — the kitchen was full of life yesterday. 🌿✨

🔆It’s practically a Florida rite of passage for high school seniors to celebrate graduation beneath the lights and magic of a theme park — and last night, several of our graduates experienced that joy together at our very first Grad Bash. ✨
With laughter, adventure, music, and late-night memories woven throughout the evening, our students stepped fully into this special moment of transition and celebration. Wishes were made, friendships deepened, and fireworks showered over a night they will not soon forget.
A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Rosie and Ms. Katie for lovingly chaperoning and helping make this milestone experience possible.
Most importantly — everyone arrived home safely this morning, carrying a little extra magic with them as they prepare for one final milestone ahead: our inaugural senior graduation in just two days. 🎓

The high school yearbooks are in ❤️

There’s something timeless about flipping through these pages together — remembering the friendships, late nights, adventures, inside jokes, milestones, and moments that shaped this year.

Making new memories while looking through the memories. ✨

It’s beautiful to witness how quickly these students have grown — and how much life has already been lived between the pages.

🌸High school students have been traveling through time through the study of artistic movements and the evolution of visual culture. It sparked meaningful conversations about how styles once considered bold or unconventional — especially art with a pop flair — have become woven into everyday life and design.
This week, students explored color, composition, and identity by creating vibrant pop-art inspired name pieces full of energy and expression. Through art, they are not only studying history, but also discovering how creativity reflects the evolving human experience.

Coming to know thyself comes in many colors. 🎨✨

High School Culinary Arts
This week, students stepped into Spanish-inspired cuisine as they prepared for the upcoming farewell celebration honoring our dear friends Laura and Juan.
They explored both technique and flavor across two standout dishes:
• Madrid-inspired patatas bravas — crispy, bite-sized potato wedges paired with a bold, spicy tomato sauce
• Crisp plantains — locally sourced, pan fried and finished in the air fryer, then topped with cilantro, chipotle, and a touch of pink salt
Beyond the recipes, this work reflects a deeper learning arc—where cultural context, ingredient sourcing, and culinary technique come together to create something meaningful.
These may be their favorite dishes yet—and a fitting tribute as we gather in celebration and gratitude.

In our high school evolution block, students brought theory to life through a simulation of the spotted moth.

By modeling environmental shifts and selective pressures, they explored how traits become more—or less—advantageous over time. As conditions changed, so did survival outcomes, offering a tangible view into natural selection in action.

This kind of experiential work moves learning from abstraction to insight—where students don’t just study evolution, they see it unfold.
