(1)

With a comprehensive set of customized services, steady guidance, and strong advocacy, we enable refugees and other immigrants to realize their full potential and dreams as they build new lives in Georgia. Beginning with resettlement services and by keeping a strong focus on jobs, education, cultural integration, individual and female empowerment and building strong families, our specially designe

d programs provide proven pathways to self-sufficiency and success. By matching peoples’ unique individual assets with the opportunities available in the community, we help ensure that these new Americans develop and contribute their special skills and talents to strengthening the American workforce and helping Georgia thrive.

Welcome to Good News.

In a world that often focuses on challenges, we want to make space for something else: progress.

Every month, we'll share a few stories that remind us why this work matters. Stories of students reaching goals, families finding stability, individuals building confidence, and communities coming together to support one another.

Each month, we'll share a few stories of hope and progress from across our programs. Join us in celebrating the Good News, big and small.

Above & Beyond: Mustafa Suliman

This month, we're proud to recognize Mustafa Suliman for his outstanding dedication and impact on the Community Education Program.

Over the past six months, Mustafa has served as our Data and Digital Organizer Intern, providing invaluable support behind the scenes. From managing program data and invoices to maintaining digital tracking systems, he consistently approached every task with professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
Throughout his internship, Mustafa contributed more than 300 volunteer hours and was always willing to step in wherever support was needed. His commitment helped keep the program organized and running smoothly during some of our busiest periods.

What truly set Mustafa apart was his consistency, eagerness to learn, and remarkable growth throughout his time with New American Pathways. He became an important member of the team, and as he concludes his internship on May 30, we want to thank him for his hard work, dedication, and the lasting impact he has made.

Congratulations, Mustafa, and thank you for all you've contributed!

is a bubble tea shop and Nepali restaurant owned and operated by two sisters, Sarita and Kumari. 🧋🥟

After previously working at other Nepali-owned establishments, the sisters decided they wanted to build generational wealth of their own. The vision was clear: combine their love for traditional Nepali “goodies”, popular street foods, with non-traditional drinks like bubble tea. “I want everyone to know about Nepali culture,” one of the sisters shared.

Some menu favorites include thukpa (noodle soup), momos (Nepali dumplings), chowmein (stir-fried noodles), and chatpate (a puffed rice snack).

As former refugees, navigating U.S. business culture initially felt daunting. But through grit, resilience, and community support, the sisters successfully opened Boba&Goodies nearly a year ago.

This , we’re proud to celebrate entrepreneurs like Sarita and Kumari, whose culture, resilience, and contributions help strengthen and enrich communities across Georgia and beyond.

We were so moved to see CBS Atlanta share the story of Raphael Kiiza, a former New American Pathways client, and the community that helped support his journey after resettling in Clarkston.

After arriving in the U.S. as a refugee from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Raphael faced a challenge many new Americans know well: transportation. What began with a donated bicycle from Narrow Path Cycles owner Timothy Bourne eventually helped Raphael get to work, support his family, and save enough to purchase a car of his own.

One of the most powerful moments in the story is when Raphael gives Tim a ride in that car — a full circle reminder of how small acts of kindness and community support can create lasting impact.

Stories like this are why welcoming communities matter. We’re grateful to CBS Atlanta for highlighting the resilience of refugee families and the neighbors who walk alongside them.

Every journey looks different, which is why the New Americans Pathway was designed to provide support from arrival through citizenship and beyond.

From safety and stability, to self-sufficiency, success, and service, we are proud to walk alongside new Americans as they build lives, strengthen communities, and create lasting impact.

Last year alone, more than 15,000 new Americans were supported through our programs. Behind every number is a story of resilience, determination, and hope.

We are honored to witness the incredible strength of new Americans every single day.

The need is urgent.

Our Community Food Box Drive provides families with more than just groceries. It offers comfort, dignity, and a sense of home during a time of transition.

Each box costs about $50 to fill and makes a direct impact on a family in our community.

Gather your office, your friends, or your family and pack a box together. Drop-offs can happen anytime—just coordinate with our volunteer coordinator to schedule.
