Grant Park Softball League

The Grant Park Softball League is ready to get off the ground! We also would like to have a few pickup games before then.
--Members will must be over 18.

We have have recently begun discussing the format of the league and are very excited to bring softball to Grant Park. As of right now we have a very rough plan that will be tweaked based on interest
and the ability of the commissioners to get the logistics together. Here is a quick overview of the league as it stands 3/14/2011

--We are planning on starting official games sometime in June. The le

ague will be coed. Specific coed rules are not planned for this year. At the end of the 2011 season will will reevaluate the league and possibly implement rules regarding specific number of females and males.
--We will be asking people to act as managers and form their own teams. Individuals who wish to play will be placed on teams.
--As of right now we have no idea of any individual or team fees that will be required. Each team and player will be expected to provide their own equipment. We are focused on create a fun and relaxed softball league and look forward to seeing softball in Grant Park. If you are interested in playing or forming a team please email [email protected]. You will be placed on an email list giving you updates on the league. We will also be giving updates through this page. Can't wait to see you on the field!
