🤍You might have seen our Air Dance installation at the FIFA Fan Festival, but how did it come together? Nina Dolgin, Downtown Atlanta Inc.’s Program Manager of Art & Activation walks us through how this idea became a reality.

30 years after the 1996 Olympic Games, Atlanta once again welcomes the world. To commemorate this anniversary, this installation celebrates the invention of the “air dancer,” which first debuted at the 1996 Closing Ceremony as 60 ft. tall towering inflatable artworks.
Originally designed by artists Peter Minshall and Doron Gazit, these attention-grabbing wacky waving dancers are now part of the everyday experience. Air Dance is intended to be a joyful beacon, highlighting the talent of Atlanta’s artists while referencing the little-known history of these eccentric objects. See it now through July 15th at the FIFA Fan Festival in Centennial Olympic Park.

🎨 Saturday, we’re checking out all the programming at CTR Culture, including a DJ set, film screening, and gaming. This is after we’ve done our weekly yoga class at Founders Green in South Downtown • ATL with AMADOR

⚽️Sunday, we’re taking dad to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium for FIFA World Cup 26 🇪🇸 Spain vs. 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia

🏀 Monday, we’re cheering on Atlanta Dream at State Farm Arena as they take on Toronto Tempo

🌆Tuesday, we’re going on a FREE guided walking tour of the art and architecture of Downtown (details are in our bio)

⚽️ Wednesday, it’s FIFA World Cup 26 🇲🇦 Morocco vs. 🇭🇹 Haiti at Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Another giant one in the books! I had the honor of knocking out this 435’ wall ahead of the World Cup here in ATL! This one took 4 long days, 2 dudes, and a TON of spray paint.

This epic project was commissioned by Downtown Atlanta Inc. and Downtown Reimagined, an initiative of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. Massive THANK YOU to ABV Agency for facilitating and always being so great. Downtown has never looked so rad with all of the work that’s been done.

Another incredible business is open in Downtown 🎉
hell yeah gluten free were administered a grant from the Downtown Pop-Up Opportunity Fund and opened their doors last week. This grant was awarded by Downtown Atlanta Invest Atlanta and Showcase Atlanta to occupy storefronts in the area.

🍪You can find the cafe-style Sweet Aubun location of the beloved gluten free bakery at the Atlanta Daily World Building at 145 Auburn Avenue Monday-Friday 7.30 AM - 3 PM and 8.30 AM - 3 PM on weekends.
