Project Safe Inc. https://linktr.ee/Projectsafeinc We can envision a world without violence, and we work every day toward the creation of that world.

Project Safe works to end domestic violence through crisis intervention, ongoing supportive services, systems change advocacy, and prevention and education in the community. https://linktr.ee/Projectsafeinc

We believe that everyone deserves to be safe in their homes and in their relationships, and that love shouldn't come at a cost of abuse or control. Some of our services include Project Safe’s confidentially located emergency shelter serves people of any gender identity who are experiencing domestic violence. Project Safe’s Outreach services are accessible to those who may not need confidential housing, but still need support in leaving an abusive relationship. There is a bilingual advocate who works at both the Shelter and Outreach to provide services to Spanish speakers. Our legal advocates can help file a TPO (temporary protection order) or provide emotional support in court. To access any of our services, a person must reach out to our 24/7 Hotline 706-543-3331 or our 24/7 Textline 706-765-8019. Project Safe also offers presentations and has volunteer opportunities for groups and individuals.

You are invited to the Second Annual Acoustic Autumn! On Sunday October 25, we will be returning to the Colbert-Benton Guest House for an afternoon of great music, good food, awesome auction items, and of course excellent company, all supporting Project Safe and our work empowering survivors of domestic violence!

We will enjoy performances from Taylor Griffith, Connor Lawley, and the Comer String Collective on the lawn in nice weather or indoors if it's a little too "wintery", and your food and beverages are included with your ticket. So bring out the whole family (kids under 5 attend free!) to join us and have an amazing, acoustic afternoon on October 25! Tickets and more information are here: https://project-safe.org/annual-events/acoustic-autumn/

Thank you to all of the members of our community who joined us for the Through an Open Window opening reception yesterday evening! We were so glad to have the opportunity to show off the amazing work done over the past year by our clients, volunteers, staff, board members and others who have experienced or been touched by domestic violence. This gallery will remain on display throughout October, so if you couldn't make it yesterday there's still plenty of time to experience the powerful statements throughout the room. Special thanks to Winterville Cultural Center for hosting our gallery!

One week ago, we had a VERY busy day at Project Safe! First, we were excited to give a presentation to the Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs on pets and domestic violence, then our friends at Toppers held their Second Annual Car & Bike Wash benefiting Project Safe. Finally, we had Groovy Nights!

Nine teams took the stage during Athens' raddest lip sync battle and dance party, and they all put on a fantastic show! Thanks to all of the awesome folks who joined us and supported our teams, Project Safe raised over $45,000 for our work empowering survivors of domestic violence! Congratulations to our winners:

Audience Favorite Award - Team 8 (Team Clawsome)
Judges' Favorite Award - Team 2 (Shakti Spice)
Honorable Mention - Team 5 (Team Baby Bats)

Thank you to all of our Groovy Nights teams and everyone else who came together to support Project Safe last weekend!
