The Athens YMCA is an independent Y that has been a part of the Athens community since 1857. Our current facility is on Hawthorne Avenue, and holds over 4 acres of field space, 10+ acres of woods, a state-of-the-art facility with 3 basketball gyms, a full fitness center, a women's only fitness center, 2 multi-purpose rooms, a cycling room, aerobic room, Tae Kwon Do / Kickboxing room, indoor pool, outdoor pool, playground, and membership rates for youth programming.

Let's go LITs (leaders in training)!

All 23 passed their certification to teach swim instruction to Camp Kelley campers! This donor funded program incorporates swim instruction on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our aquatics team did an incredible job preparing them for this super special element in day camp!

This weekend, our Camp Kelley 2026 staff made their way to AYC for our annual Overnight Retreat! This weekend was centered around Matthew 5:16, let your light shine!

They trained, they played games, they danced, they celebrated each other and they got us super excited for day one of camp!
