We’re on the right path, literally! The Main Avenue sidewalk project is picking up the pace and the new curbing has been installed on the west side of the road. A huge thank you to the City of Ashtabula and Catts Construction for the swift work. Please continue using caution while traveling downtown to all of our merchants. Parking is available on the east side of the street and at the KeyBank building. We can’t wait to see the end result!

Meet Furniture Towne Inc., a fixture in the heart of Downtown Ashtabula for 35 years! Founded in 1991, Furniture Towne has earned a reputation as the go-to local destination for home furnishings.

Current owner Aric Anderson was born and raised in Ashtabula, graduating from Edgewood Senior High School before heading to Ohio State University. In the late 90’s, Aric was working in a small furniture store in Jefferson after coming home from college while waiting to enroll in the police academy. During that time, Aric got a speeding ticket and while at the courthouse to pay his ticket, he ran into an old friend who offered him a job at Furniture Towne. After a few years, Aric bought into the business and by 2003, when the previous owners were ready to retire, Aric fully owned the business.

In an era dominated by big-box retailers and online ordering, Furniture Towne has made a name for itself as a locally owned and operated furniture store with high-quality items at reasonable prices. The showroom spans two floors and features a large selection of furnishings, including couches, recliners, bedroom sets, dining room furniture, mattresses, carpeting, flooring. and more. With leading name brands at a lower markup, you can’t go wrong with Furniture Towne.

Furniture Towne offers creative financing options for its customers, working with their budget to find the best deal on the best furniture, regardless of credit history. Delivery and removal of old furniture are also available for local customers, making the process easy for everyone. The business has also grown beyond its original footprint with an expansion into Cortland with a specialty sleep shop called Cortland Mattresses.

Whether you’re in need of a new mattress, looking to update your living room furniture, or need a larger dining room set up for your growing family, Furniture Towne makes it easy. Located at 4530 Main Ave, Furniture Towne is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am-5:30pm, Thursday from 10am-4pm, Saturday from 10am-3pm and Sunday from 11am-2pm. Contact them at (440) 992-6630, check out website at furnituretowne.net, or find them on Facebook at facebook.com/Furnituretowneashtabula/
