Well I was hopes to have a normal day today but this is rescue. Soooo meet Midnight, a 3 yr old Dachshund that has suffered an injury to his leg a few weeks ago and the family has not been able to get him the care he requires so the dog warden had them reach out to us for help. Them did pick him up and we have gone straight to the vets office. I know it’s likely going to be at least a $500 visit with emergency visit, X-rays, heartworm/lyme test and a rabies just to start 😩 but we couldn’t leave him in pain and suffering. Any donations will help greatly.

We want to update everyone on Bear. We have located his owner and they have decided to sign him over to us so we can find him a new home. We do not want any negative comments because here at Walking With Memphis we respect people who put their feelings aside and do what’s best for the dog.

Bear just turned 4 years old last week and is a very sweet guy. He has been around other dogs and loves people. We will be getting him into the vet for a wellness check, we have scheduled him an appt with a groomer and will be getting him on the schedule for neuter. We will keep everyone posted ❤️🐾

If you would love to help with Bears medical care we could really use some help. The more dogs we take literally off the streets as strays the more funds we are in need of. You guys all know my motto….As long as y’all keep donating, I’ll keep saving them.

We had an absolute blast at Pet Supplies Plus - Ashtabula, OH today. We had one puppy find his furevers and one puppy that headed home with a possible foster fail 🤣🤣 Good news is we have 2 additional good applications that came in today so we hope to have more placed by this week. Thank you always to the staff for welcoming us whenever they have a day that works for us.

We want to reshare our post about this sweet guy. He was found yesterday 10/16/26 on Harbor and Nickleplate in Conneaut OH by a Good Samaritan. They reached out to us and we had him brought to rescue. We did scan him for a microchip and he did have one but it has not been updated since sold. There was talk on few posts that he might belong to several people but nothing had panned out. If you know who this dog belongs to we would love. Nothing more than to return them. This is the 4th stray we have taken from conneaut in the last month and only one was claimed. This is becoming a big problem. I can not continue to take in strays and they will have to go to the County Dog Warden who is also out of space. I want people to understand that the APL IS NOT AN OPTION FOR A STRAY OUTSIDE OF THE ASHTABULA CITY LIMITS. Any dog beyond Ashtabula has to go to the County Dog Warden. Please reach out with any info.
