The Ashland Noon Lions Club held our end of the year meeting today. Many thanks to outgoing Lion President David Ross on a great year and for passing the gavel to Lion Sheryl Villegas. New members were inducted, new officers were installed for next year, perfect attendance awards were presented, and Lion Terrence Webb was announced as Lion of the Year! Lions Fred Gottfried and Gregg Gorrell were bestowed the prestigious Melvin Jones Award. The Melvin Jones Award, also known as the Melvin Jones Fellowship, is the highest recognition given by Lions Clubs International for outstanding humanitarian service. Congratulations!

Well, the weather was not kind to our Lions who wanted to golf this morning. But we were still able to meet at Brookside Golf Course for lunch and fellowship. Many thanks to Andrew Kauffman, Executive Director, of Inspiration Hills camp. Since 1966, Inspiration Hills Camp has served as a sanctuary for spiritual growth, outdoor education, and genuine community. Located on 200 acres of rolling hills and woodlands in Burbank, Ohio (Wayne County), they are dedicated to providing a place where guests of all ages can disconnect from the noise of the world and connect with God.
