Spark! is for the curious.

Kids who want to touch, build, and experiment. Adults who still love asking “what happens if…” Families, teachers, artists, lifelong learners, and anyone who lights up when an idea becomes something you can see, move, or make.

That’s what we’re building toward: hands-on art and science experiences that invite people of all ages to explore, play, and discover together.

A tiny shift in motion can change the whole pattern, from soft loops to layered, orbit-like designs.

That’s part of what makes it so fun to watch: science, art, and surprise all showing up on the same page.

Ever seen a drawing machine powered by motion?

Our harmonograph uses swinging pendulums to create looping, layered patterns on paper. It’s part art, part science, and very easy to stare at for a while.

We’ll be bringing the harmonograph into the community this summer:

July TBD: Pack Memorial Library Program Collaboration
July 15: River Arts District Farmers Market, 3–6 PM
August 12: Weaverville Tailgate Market, 3–6 PM

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Spark! pop-up at Weaverville Tailgate Market. We loved watching people experiment, ask questions, and turn motion into art one swinging pen at a time.

This is exactly what Spark! is building toward: hands-on experiences where science and creativity meet in real life.
