Our Summer Library Fest, and Summer Reading Challenge would not be possible without our Friends of the Library and our community partnerships! So spread the word, we hope to see you all tomorrow!

The New Haw Creek Sidewalk project remains on track for completion in late 2026. We're happy to report that the project team has reached significant milestones:

Underground Stormwater Work: 100% Completed
Retaining Walls: Nearly finished
What's Next: Crews will transition to surface work (which means we will start to see the actual sidewalk take shape!)

To accelerate construction progress while school is out, the contractor will implement longer lane closure hours throughout the summer months, starting June 11. When schools start again in August, the contractor will resume the normal schedule with no lane closures from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

We appreciate your continued patience and caution while driving through the work zone as we build a safer, more walkable community!
