Aside from responding to calls with one of our mutual aid companies, they also offer assistance to help us with a pool fill while our truck is out of service. On Wednesday, our resident was able to enjoy their newly filled pool. Thank you Glen Gardner Fire Company No. 1

Station 25 ahead of today’s storm staffed the station and responded to 3 calls .
A tree on wires
A motor vehicle accident
And
A wire fire

Given the storms that blew through the area, we made out pretty well
 Having guys at the station staffed and ready to go at a moments notice for this storm was extremely effective and our response times were  a minute or less.

as well as having one of the largest sections of interstate highway 78 in the state of New Jersey under its protection as well !

On Thursday @12:50pm, we were dispatched to Bloomsbury Boro for a tractor trailer on its side at Route 173 to 78 WB on ramp with Bloomsbury Hose Co. #1 & Pattenburg Rescue Squad Inc. Once on location, we found a full load of shelled corn covering both ramps, along with an active diesel fuel leak. Hunterdon County Health Dept. & Hazmat Team were notified. Crews quickly contained the fuel on the roadway & secured the shut off valves on the diesel and hydraulic tanks. DOT and New Jersey State Police assisted with traffic control while Washington Collision Center uprighted the tractor trailer and cleaned the spilled cargo. All responding units cleared the scene by 3:45pm. Thanks to all the responding parties for a job well done.

Another great day of mutual aid training. Scenarios included search, ground ladders, ventilation and forcible entry. Thank you again to Bethlehem Township NJ Office of Emergency Management. During a joint exercise with Glen Gardner Fire Company No. 1 Hampton Fire Co Sta.13 & Bloomsbury Hose Co. #1, we experienced some mechanical difficulties. Fortunately for us, Stew's Auto Body, Inc was only a phone call away. Having good relationships with all the resources we work with, including tow companies, can make a bad situation much easier to manage. Thank you Todd for taking time out of your Sunday to help us!

Yesterdays call into Bloomsbury ,
Engine 25 was called into Bloomsbury with Bloomsbury Fire, for a level 2 box , Smoke in a dwelling ,
Along with station 98 Stewartsville, and station 57 Franklin township
Issue was a burned wire that caused the smoke and smell .

All units cleared shortly after .
