Goodbye, Kheta ❤️

Today we said goodbye to our sweet guardian, Kheta. She watched over the ranch, protected her animals, and was a loyal friend to all who knew her.

Our hearts are broken, but we are grateful for every day we had with her. Run free, beautiful girl. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.

We’re reaching out to our amazing community for help! Our rescued horses, goats, and sheep go through a lot of hay, and we are currently in need of donations to help keep everyone fed and healthy.

If you’d like to support the animals, donations of quality grass hay or financial contributions toward hay purchases are greatly appreciated. Every bale makes a difference!

Turtles and tortoises may not be traditional farm animals, but we have a few special shelled residents here at Hoofprints! 🐢

Mrs. Summertime is our yellow-eared slider who has happily called our pasture water trough home for over two years. She’s thriving, healthy, and very much part of the family.

Then there’s Voldetorte, our Sulcata tortoise, who has been with us for three years. Sulcatas can grow to over 100 pounds and live more than 100 years — so he’s definitely a lifelong commitment! He may be small now (25 lbs), but he already has a big personality and plenty of opinions to share.

Every animal here, no matter the species, has a place to belong. ❤️

Some friendships are forever. 🤍

This trio came to us as part of a group of five after their owner passed away. They’ve spent their entire lives together, and we don’t plan on changing that now.

Taco the Donkey is 24 years old, Nugget the golden pony is also 24, and Ravioli the miniature horse is 18. Through every chapter of life, they’ve had each other — and now they get to enjoy safety, soft hay, and quiet days together here with us.

Rescue isn’t always about finding new homes. Sometimes it’s about honoring old bonds. 🐴🫏✨ you can help us care for this trio by sending a one time donation to cover feet or a monthly sponsorship of $200 covers hay and hooves. Pm for details!
