Today, members of our team had the privilege of attending the 24th Annual Awards Breakfast hosted by Caron Treatment Centers, where we celebrated Laura D'Uva and Carmine D'Uva, recipients of this year's Unsung Hero Awards.

We were proud to honor Laura and Carmine for this recognition. As instructors for our Family Recovery Course and leaders of our Parent Partnership support group in Hatboro, PA, they generously share their lived experience, compassion, and knowledge to help families affected by a loved one's substance use disorder. Through their commitment to education, peer support, and helping others find hope, they have made a meaningful impact on countless families throughout our community.

We are grateful for our partnership with Caron Treatment Centers and our shared commitment to strengthening recovery support for individuals and families. Congratulations, Laura and Carmine, on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for the hope, encouragement, and guidance you bring to our community.

We know healing happens through connection. That's why we offer free support groups like our Parent Partnership and Sibling Partnership meetings, and community-based psychoeducation like our Family Recovery Course.

Michael W. Donovan from the Evidence-to-Impact Collaborative Podcast hosted Bob Lamb, MPH and Haydn Briggs LCSW, CGP, CP/PAT to discuss our programming and the role of community in healing from substance use disorder.

We're excited to share more about the research Haydn and Bob are doing to measure the impact our family programming has on health outcomes.

Understanding addiction is one of the most powerful tools families can have.

Dr. Kevin McCauley is known for making addiction science accessible. In this program, he updates his signature “Periodic Table of the Intoxicants” to reflect today’s drug landscape, including why fentanyl is so much more dangerous than other opioids, how cannabis use can shift from helpful to harmful, and why the enthusiasm around psychedelics in therapy deserves a closer look.

If you weren't able to join us in person, please view the full presentation on our YouTube channel.

What drives addiction? The answer starts with dopamine, the brain chemical behind motivation, learning, and the powerful pull of substances.Dr. Kevin McCaule...
