🚨 ATTENTION PENNSYLVANIA DRIVERS 🚨
PAUL MILLER’S LAW TAKES EFFECT JUNE 5
Beginning June 5, 2025, Pennsylvania’s new distracted driving law, known as Paul Miller’s Law, makes it illegal to use a hand-held cell phone or other interactive mobile device while driving. This includes when your vehicle is temporarily stopped at a red light, stop sign, or in traffic.
What You Need to Know:
Hands-free use is permitted (Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice commands)
Holding your phone in your hand while driving
Texting, scrolling social media, or browsing the internet
Dialing or answering calls by pressing more than a single button
Using your phone while stopped in traffic or at a red light
Drivers may be stopped solely for violating this law.
Enforcement:
• Beginning June 6, 2026: Violators may receive a $50 citation plus court costs and fees.
