Ardwood Civic Association

Ardwood brings neighbors together to build community, strengthen our neighborhood, promote civic engagement, and advance our collective interests.

(non-profit, non-partisan, volunteer-run) Our vision is ambitious yet simple: to be the center of civic activity and a force for positive change for our neighborhood. Our mission is to promote the civic interests of our residents by advocating for the community interest, providing other members of the community, presenting clear and reliable information to the public, and sponsoring community events and volunteer activities to make our neighborhood a better place. Ardwood is guided by the beliefs that a collective voice is much more effective than individual voices; that diversity is a strength; that everyone’s opinion is valid; and that all residents should feel a sense of belonging in the community.

From the Lower Merion Sustainability Dept:

The first season of restrictions on gas powered leaf blowers in Lower Merion Township concluded on September 30, 2026. This means that until the next seasonal restrictions begin on January 1, 2027, gas powered leaf blowers are permitted in Lower Merion Township.

Even though the first seasonal restrictions are over, we still encourage you to practice sustainable landscaping practices. These can include actions such as:

- Raking and Sweeping
- Mulch Mowing
- Composting
- Using electric equipment

For more information on reporting, regulation timelines, and free educational resources in English and Spanish, visit www.lowermerion.org/ELawns. We encourage you to share these resources with your networks and communities within Lower Merion Township.

Ardwood members are encouraged to attend the Public meeting on the preliminary recommendations will be held (tonight) on Monday, Oct 26, at 6pm at the Lower Merion Township Building.

Let’s make Montgomery Ave Safer! Here are some thoughtful recommendations from the LM Safe Streets group.

532 crashes in five years on seven miles of road. There are draft recommendations to fix it. Come to the Oct. 26 meeting.
