Day 2 disaster cleanup and support operations. Today we loaded and delivered supplies as well cleaned some downed trees and yards in Menasha and Fox Crossing. So proud of these Army Cadets.

A group of Cadets and officers from the Wisconsin Army Cadets (Explorer Post 9899) hosted by the Wisconsin National Guard Appleton, participated in disaster relief operations in the Fox cities today, encountering devastation on an unimaginable scale. The Cadets distributed hundreds of pounds of food, water, tarps, emergency supplies, flashlights, batteries, drinks, and other essential items. Individuals from all over the state came together at the volunteer reception center to support these efforts, and we were proud to be involved. A small team will endeavor to deliver the last of the supplies tomorrow morning.

To all Cadets, Officers, and military instructors: The Wisconsin Army Cadets is forming a volunteer team to deploy to the affected areas in the Fox Cities this Friday from 1000 to 1500.

Interested individuals must register with Colonel Blahnik. An email with further details and registration instructions will be sent out later this afternoon. Report time is 0930 at the second gate (next to trailer) for a 1000 deployment.

Please note that participation is restricted to Cadets and uniformed staff due to the nature of the work. We will be providing support supplies, food, and drinks, as well as assisting with minor cleanup projects. Cadets are required to report in OCP uniform and will be provided safety gear on site.

Donations of essential items, including work gloves, safety glasses, disposable cleaning wipes, baby wipes, sunscreen, packaged snack items, water, Gatorade, garbage bags, rakes, and hats (for sun), are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the Armory on Friday morning at 0930.

Those requiring assistance or support in the affected areas can email [email protected] today or tomorrow by noon for coordination.

Our community was hit hard yesterday by severe storms, tornadoes, and winds reaching more than 150 mph. The damage is significant, and recovery will take time. We want our neighbors to know that the Wisconsin Army Cadets stand ready to assist however we can as our region begins to rebuild.

To our Cadets and families — we are here for you. If you need anything, please reach out to our command staff and let us know how we can support you.

Cadets, your help may be needed in the days and weeks ahead as cleanup and disaster‑recovery efforts begin. We will keep you informed and prepared as we navigate the recovery together.

We are proud of this community, and we will face this challenge side by side.
