Friends of our Foundation...It's that time of year again. As our scholarship recipients from 2025 are moving closer to graduation and starting the next chapter of their lives, we're looking towards the next group of young Webber students to help. And as always, you play an important part in supporting our mission to positively impacting the lives of as many young people as we can. Your donations drive all the good things the Foundation does to honor our classmates that we've lost. No amount is too small...and all support is greatly appreciated. Please donate on our page, the Foundation's website (webberlegacyfoundation.org) or by contacting me directly. And all donations are tax deductible, so get a start on your 2026 deductions with us now!!

Thanks to all the great folks who have so generously supported the Foundation over the last 3 years. Let's make 2026 a breakout year for the impact we can have.

Friends of our Foundation...take a minute and join us in registering for the upcoming Webber International University's Silent Auction being put on by Ryan Reis, Executive Director of Advancement and External Relations. All proceeds will go towards helping the school and the students continue to grow. There's no commitment to sign up, and take part in the auction. Thanks, everyone.

Had a great time this weekend back on campus for Alumni Weekend and the "Clash on the Lake" vs. Warner!! The Warriors locked down a victory, and I got to spend a little time with some of our scholarship recipients for 2025. Great things are happening at Webber, so everyone start thinking about plans for next year's event...and the upcoming Centennial celebration we're working on!! Special thanks to Carl Buck and Mark Wright for coming in this year and taking part with me. Webber Alumni

The Webber Legacy Foundation is very proud to announce that Sam Henry has been selected as a recipient of our 2025 Giving Year awards. As we did last year, we will be making this award to Sam and all our scholarship recipients in memory of our friends and classmates whose impact on our lives has been the driving force behind our work at the Foundation.

Sam is from Portmore, Jamaica, and is entering his senior year at Webber where he’s studying Business Administration with a concentration on Sports Business Management. As a member of Webber’s men’s lacrosse team, Sam leverages his international experience in the sport to have a positive impact on the field for the Warriors. But Sam is not all about athletics, despite his high skill level. An accomplished musician on three instruments, Sam tells us he plans to continue developing his love of music for many years to come. Just as importantly, Sam divides his free time in service of several groups in his community, including his church, the local Kiwanis chapter, and the Jamaican Lacrosse program.

We at the Webber Legacy Foundation are very proud to honor all of the classmates we’ve lost with this gift to Sam, and we hope that it helps him continue his journey of service and success at Webber, and beyond.

Congratulations, Sam, and good luck in all your endeavors. We are so happy to have a young person like you representing our Foundation and classmates.

The Webber Legacy Foundation is very proud to announce that Thea Roque-Krag will be one of our recipients of our 2025 Giving Year awards. As this is our second year of giving, we will be making this award to Thea and all our scholarship recipients in memory of our friends and classmates whose impact on our lives is the driving force behind our work at the Foundation.

Thea comes to Webber from Copenhagen, Denmark and is entering her senior year where she’s studying Business Administration with a focus on Finance. As a captain on the Webber women’s soccer team, Thea has been a key part of the Lady Warriors’ success since her arrival. In addition to her athletic activities, she also commits considerable time to the Future Business Leaders of America chapter on campus. Thea has served as Vice-President of the chapter, and represents the University in regional and national FBLA competitions. We have no doubt that she will make a very positive mark on the world once her time at Webber is behind her.

All of us at the Webber Legacy Foundation are very proud to award Thea this scholarship in honor of the classmates we’ve lost, and we know she’ll carry their spirit with her along her journey through her final year at Webber, and beyond.

Congratulations, Thea, and best of luck with this next chapter of your life. We’re very happy to have you representing us and our cause, and we hope you stay connected to us regardless of where your life takes you.

The Webber Legacy Foundation is very proud to announce that Henry Benito has been selected as a recipient of our 2025 Giving Year awards. As we did last year, we will be making this award to Henry and all our scholarship recipients in memory of our friends and classmates whose impact on our lives has been the driving force behind our work at the Foundation.

Henry is from Miami, Florida, and is entering his senior year at Webber where he’s studying Business Administration with a concentration on Accounting. As a member of Webber’s men’s football team, Henry has become a natural leader on the team, leveraging his experience at other colleges on and off the field before landing at Webber in 2024. Like several of us, Henry is the first in his family to attend college, which will make his graduation even more special for him and his family. After graduation, Henry plans to enter the business world and put the analytical thinking and decision-making skills he’s acquired at Webber to good use.

We at the Webber Legacy Foundation are very proud to honor all of the classmates we’ve lost with this gift to Henry, and we hope that it helps him continue his journey at Webber, and beyond.

Congratulations, Henry, and good luck in all your endeavors. Remember the sky is not the limit!

The Webber Legacy Foundation is very proud to announce that Aidan Mercer has been selected as a recipient of our 2025 Giving Year awards. As we did last year, we will be making this award to Aidan and all our scholarship recipients in memory of our friends and classmates whose impact on our lives has been the driving force behind our work at the Foundation.

Aidan is from Daphne, Alabama and is entering his senior year at Webber where he’s studying Business Administration with a focus on Finance…but was quick to share he intends to pursue his Masters degree in Sports Business Management. As a member of Webber’s men’s bowling team, Aidan gets to not only compete collegiately in a sport he loves, but gets to use the experience to prepare for his intended career as a bowling coach once he’s out of school. Like many of our other recipients, Aidan balances the academic work of college with other responsibilities, including being a Resident Advisor (RA) for the men’s dormitory as well as an active member of the Future Business Leaders of America chapter. And he still finds time to give back to others by spending time coaching younger bowlers who are looking to develop their skills.

We at the Webber Legacy Foundation are very proud to honor Steve Kelley (our RA!) and all of the classmates we’ve lost with this gift to Aidan, and we hope that it helps him continue his journey at Webber, and beyond.

Congratulations, Aidan, and good luck in all your endeavors. We’re very happy to have you representing us and our cause.

The Webber Legacy Foundation is very proud to announce that Taylor Thomas has been selected as a recipient of our 2025 Giving Year awards. As this is our second year of giving, we will be making this award to Taylor and all our scholarship recipients in memory of our friends and classmates whose impact on our lives has been the driving force behind our work at the Foundation.

Taylor is from McDonough,Georgia and is entering her senior year at Webber where she’s studying Business Administration with a focus on Finance. As a member of Webber’s women’s softball team, Taylor has been a standout from the time she arrived on campus. Her milestones on the field include being recognized as the Sun Conference Freshman of the Year, pitching a no-hitter, and registering more than 300 strikeouts in her Webber career…and she’s not done! But athletics are only a part of her story; Taylor also enjoys giving back to others by spending time coaching younger players who are looking to develop their softball skills. And during our interview, the Committee learned about her passion for field of Finance, where she plans to use both her Webber education and experiences as an intern this summer to begin her professional career. It’s clear to us that Taylor will be as successful in her professional career as she was on the diamond at WIU!

We at the Webber Legacy Foundation are very proud to honor Steve Kelley and all of the classmates we’ve lost with this gift to Taylor, and we hope that it helps her continue her journey at Webber, and beyond.

Congratulations, Taylor, and good luck in all your endeavors. We’re very happy to have you representing us and our cause.

Help the Webber Legacy Foundation support more outstanding students like Taylor by making a donation, either on our page or on our website at webberlegacyfoundation.org.
