📢 Staff Spotlight: Welcome Mr. Krutsinger! 📢
Let’s hit all the right notes and give a huge Parkview Middle School welcome to our new Vocal Music Teacher, Macaiah Krutsinger! 🎶🎤
Micaiah is a proud graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, where he studied Choral Music Education, minored in Social & Emotional Learning, and earned a certificate in School & the Future of Education. Talk about an impressive resume—while at UNI, Micaiah even served as the Student Body President! 🐾 After graduation, he spent a year running an entire middle and high school vocal music program as a district's sole vocal music teacher. Macaiah is absolutely thrilled to join the Ankeny family and collaborate alongside a fantastic team of fellow music educators!
Micaiah brings an organized, forward-thinking approach to the classroom, along with a keen understanding of adolescent needs and a highly appropriate approach to middle school instruction. In his rehearsals, he seamlessly aligns his warm-ups to the exact skills needed in the lesson piece, utilizes expert pacing adjustments, and uses frequent formative assessment to track student progress. He stands out for his exceptional empathy and communication skills, actively adjusting his plans based on student feedback. Additionally, his strong visual cues during instruction provide incredible support for students with unique learning needs!
Hailing from Forest City, Iowa, Micaiah is a loyal UNI Panthers fan who deeply values community. In fact, the one thing he couldn't live without is his incredible support system of family and friends.
We are so excited to hear the beautiful music Micaiah will bring to our halls this year. Drop a comment below to welcome our new vocal music teacher to Parkview! 🦅🎵
