What’s best for our members?
That was the question at the center of every conversation this week as the NCSG Board of Directors met at our Ankeny, Iowa headquarters for two days of strategic planning and discussion.

Topics included membership, certifications, virtual reality training, education, and advocacy, all with a focus on strengthening the value of the Guild and supporting chimney professionals across the country.

Thank you to our volunteer leaders for taking time away from their businesses to share ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and help guide the future of the Guild and the members it serves. 👏

Is it time to renew your CCP, CCR, and/or CCJ? If you earned your certification in 2023, then yes ‼️ There are two ways to renew your certification: with CEUs or by retaking the exam.

With CEUs: Log into your Prolydian profile to make sure you've met the CEU requirements. Then submit your renewal application within your Prolydian account and pay the renewal fee.

Retake the exam: If you do not have enough CEUs, you can retake the exam to keep your certification active. You will have to reapply and take the exam before the 2-month grace period ends after your certification expires.

Chimney Sweep Day is a great reminder of the work you do every day to keep homes safe and customers confident.

Take a little time this month to celebrate what you do, share it with your customers and community, and connect with other NCSG members. If you’ve been thinking about getting more involved, joining a committee is a simple way to step in and be part of what’s happening across the Guild.
