Meet Our Summer Intern, Keira Shelton:
Keira Shelton recently joined the Madison County Community Foundation as a Student Intern, where she supports community engagement, marketing and communications, event planning, and day-to-day administrative support to Foundation staff. She is pursuing degrees in Social Work and Honors in Humanities at Indiana Wesleyan, along with a minor in Psychology and a certificate in Child Advocacy.
Through her academic background and experiences, Keira brings a strong understanding of the importance of philanthropy that is grounded in empathy, informed by human behavior, and committed to addressing systemic challenges while advancing equity.
In addition to her work with MCCF, Keira will step into a significant leadership role on campus next year as a Resident Assistant, reflecting her dedication to service, mentorship, and community engagement.
Student interns at the Foundation are funded through the Lilly Endowment, Inc. Intern Scholarship Fund. Keira is already making meaningful contributions to the MCCF team, including development of the Madison County Nonprofit Directory, and we look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make in the months ahead.
