Ames Cub Scout Pack 159

The Ames Cub Scout Packs held a joint Spring campout this weekend and had a great time! We were grilling and having a potluck dinner on Friday night and the kids helped make many Dutch oven desserts.

The rain held off long enough for a fun Campfire Program prior to lights out. Following our wet night, French toast, fruit and breakfast meats was for breakfast, then a full day of fishing and hiking filled out Saturday. For those few hardy scouts, we stayed for the optional second night and wrapped things up this morning.

Special thanks to Troop 140 of Ames for the loan of the trailer with equipment!

We had a wonderful time last night at our annual Pinewood Derby, thanks to all the scouts, family, and friends who make it happen! We had about 40 racers last night across Pack 159 and Pack 275.
