Our first support group was amazing! 🩵
A group of local foster and adoptive moms got to spend time talking with others who truly understand the challenges and rewards of opening our homes in this way. We were so grateful for our volunteers who provided childcare for a number of single moms who would not have been able to attend otherwise.
We are excited to watch this group grow and the moms thrive. If you have a heart for foster care and adoption and would like to be a part of supporting these families- we have the following opportunities to help YOU get involved!!
1️⃣ CHILDCARE: We could use more volunteers to help watch the kids one Friday evening a month during our support group. This could be a great opportunity for an older and mature youth who needs volunteer hours! We’d also especially welcome people with experience with children with delays or disabilities.
2️⃣ SNACK PROVIDER: Don’t have the time to volunteer but constantly find yourself at the grocery store? We have an amazing volunteer who provides snacks for the moms each month, but we would love some help providing drinks and snacks for the kids.
3️⃣ VOLUNTEER GIFTS: We like to treat our childcare volunteers with a small gift every month with a little note of gratitude. Would you like to put this together one month?
4️⃣ DONATE FUNDS: Would you love to help but are too busy to volunteer, shop, or put together a thank you gift? We’d gladly take your monetary donation to offset the costs of providing these meetings.
5️⃣ SHARE: Please spread the word to any and all foster, adoptive and kinship moms in your life! We would love to have them come to group and find support & connection 🙂
