🍀 4-H is so much more than projects and fair week — it’s a place where youth discover their passions, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create lifelong friendships and memories. Through hands-on learning experiences, 4-H helps prepare young people for their future by teaching responsibility, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and so much more.

My name is Ashley Foster, and I couldn’t wait to become a 4-H’er and show a calf or the sheep my family raised. One of my earliest memories is attending Cloverbud Camp in Gratiot County. While my journey started there, it was in Isabella County where I spent my entire 4-H career—building lasting memories, gaining valuable life skills, and participating in every project area I could.

Today, I have the privilege of serving as the MSU Extension Gratiot County 4-H Program Coordinator, a county where I grew up—a community that has always meant so much to me. Looking back, I truly believe 4-H helped shape the person I am today. The confidence, leadership, and life skills I gained through 4-H helped guide me to this career and inspired my passion for working with youth.💚
