This weekend, Troop 610 and Troop 611 undertook the President Ford Historic Trail, beginning with a brisk 33ยฐ morning and frost-covered tents and grounds. The Scouts then successfully canoed 8 miles along the Grand River, followed by a 3-mile hike through downtown Grand Rapids, exploring key locations from President Ford's history.

As youโ€™re driving through Gratiot County you will see almost 200 American flags posted near the road at peopleโ€™s houses and local businesses. The flags will be up from before Labor Day weekend and come down after Patriots Day (9/11).

Alma Troop 611 was out in Ithaca on Monday April 7th placing door hangers for our Troopโ€™s fundraiser. I am sure you have seen the flags posted in yards for the holidays. Now is your opportunity to join!

We have attached pictures of the door hanger if you want to join the program. A $50 pledge gets you a full-year subscription to have a flag posted and retired for 7 holidays. Memorial Day Weekend is approaching soon! If you want a flag in your yard donโ€™t delay!
