Yesterday, Ladder 19-6 and Tender 19-5 assisted Camp Edge Camp YEY with a wet down for the campers!

Station 19 has handled a handful of calls over the last 10 days, including two motor vehicle crashes.

On August 12th, Station 19, along with Squad 45, was alerted for an MVC on Telegraph Road involving a pickup truck that had struck a utility pole. Due to the patient’s condition, a medic and medical helicopter were requested. Crews established and secured a landing zone for JeffSTAT while BLS and ALS personnel provided patient care.

On August 15th, Station 19, Rescue 16, Squad 45, and Medic 5 were alerted for an MVC on Watsons Mill Road with reported entrapment. Rescue Engine 19 and 16 worked together to safely extricate the trapped occupant, who was then turned over to BLS and ALS for further care.

A few detail shots of our new Rescue Engine!

A tremendous amount of time, planning, and hard work went into every compartment and every piece of equipment on this truck. Our members spent countless hours designing, mounting, and organizing the apparatus to create a fireman-friendly layout.

Every tool has a purpose, and every compartment was built with efficiency, safety, and functionality in mind. This Rescue Engine represents the dedication of our volunteers and will help us better serve the residents of Alloway Township and our mutual aid communities for years to come.

One thing this project truly reflects is the pride and ownership our members have in this fire company, and our town.

Lastly, none of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our Fire Company leadership, Township Committee, generous donors, and the incredible residents of Alloway Township. Your continued trust and support allow us to provide the highest level of service to our community. We are truly grateful and proud to serve such a supportive township.

Members practiced drafting with Rescue Engine 19-9 while supplying Ladder 19-6, followed by reviewing various engine company operations and other miscellaneous training topics. Training like this helps ensure our members are prepared to respond safely and effectively when the call comes.

Yesterday afternoon, our members were dispatched to Watsons Mill Rd for a reported garage fire. Chief 19-10 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire. Rescue Engines 19-9 and 16-9 arrived simultaneously, with crews quickly deploying multiple handlines to contain the fire and prevent further growth.

Multiple mutual aid units also arrived on scene and assisted with water supply, fire suppression, and overhaul operations. Crews operated on scene for approximately three hours.

This also marks the first working fire for our new Rescue Engine 19-9 since placing it in service less then a month ago!

As always, thank you to all of our mutual aid partners for their assistance and continued teamwork.
