Our May meeting was a great way to end our year! We inducted our new Branch Officers and welcomed two of our 2025 Nancy Timberman Memorial Award recipients to speak about their first year at college!

Ella is attending Thomas Jefferson University majoring in Health Studies and Ty’Onna is attending The College of New Jersey where she is majoring in Nursing! We are so proud of them and were grateful to hear about their experiences in-person.

You can say that again!

We honor Lilly Ledbetter’s legacy on what would have been her birthday, as a tireless advocate for fair pay and workplace equity.

Her courage in challenging pay discrimination helped expose the systemic barriers that deny women the wages they rightfully earn and underscored the need for transparency, accountability, and strong protections.

That work is not done. You can’t fix what you can’t measure.

AAUW will continue fighting for policies and workplaces that ensure every worker is paid fairly and treated with dignity — the future Lilly Ledbetter fought for.

We want to take this time and celebrate the scholars and changemakers whose work is advancing equity, strengthening communities, and expanding opportunity for women and girls.

Today, we proudly recognize Caitlyn Collins; Connie Wun; Anna Posbergh; Cameo King; and Bahar Jalali — distinguished alumnae whose research, advocacy, and leadership are reshaping conversations around gender, policy, safety, representation, and global women’s rights.

Through their scholarship and community-driven work, they are building more just systems and empowering the next generation.
