Allegan County Parks, Recreation, & Tourism has put together a full 2026 recreation program schedule, including things like:

Middle school families — check this out!

The 2026 Tech Camp through the Allegan Area ESA Tech Center is now open for registration! This hands-on camp is designed for current 6th–8th graders and gives kids the chance to explore fun skills like cooking, STEM, construction, automotive basics, and more.

It’s an awesome way for kids to learn, explore careers, and try new things this summer.

Summer Tech Camp for Middle School Students is now open for registration! If you have a current 6th, 7th, or 8th grader, this camp is for you! Visit www.allegantechcenter.org and follow the link for Summer Tech Camp for program descriptions and online enrollment link, or, use the QR code provided.
Cost: $45 individual or $60 for 2+ students in the same household.

We are currently looking for girls’ clothing size 3T and up and shoes size 7 and up for a growing toddler. We are also in need of baby girl clothing in size 3–6 months and larger for a growing baby.

If you happen to have any items your children have outgrown and would be willing to pass along, it would be greatly appreciated. Donations like these help support families in our community who are caring for little ones and can make a big difference.

We received a request to support a teen who is having a tough time right now, and we’re hoping to rally together to help keep him busy, safe, and encouraged. He loves to draw, so we’re putting together two activity boxes to support his creativity and give him positive ways to stay engaged.

Box 1: Art supplies to fuel his passion for drawing
Box 2: Independent activities and fidgets he can use to stay focused and calm

Ideas include Rubik’s cubes, word searches, playing cards, origami kits, “how-to” drawing books, and other similar items. We’ve updated our Amazon wish list with several of these suggestions for anyone who would like to help.

We have received a request to help support a mom and her young son who has autism. He struggles with communication and oral sensory difficulties. There has been some success using adaptive tools at school, and kiddo would benefit from having similar tools at home.
Mom just needs some help with these items - they would have a huge impact on his quality of life.

Items are in the Amazon wish list as an example of what they are needing.

Updated: we have coat, hat and mittens for the 1.5 year old.

We are still In need of:
-snow boots( size 24mo, womens size 7, and mens size 10.5)
-winter clothes for new born
- mens hat
- mittens for adults.
-2T snow pants

We’re hoping to help a local family of three (soon to be four in February!) who could really use some support this winter.

They are in need of:
🩷 Baby girl clothing in size 2T (winter items, snow gear, and boots)
🍼 A bassinet for their newborn arriving in February
🧤 Gloves, hats, and mittens for the family

Mom is currently unable to work and the family doesn’t have the funds to purchase these items right now. Both their 1.5-year-old and the baby on the way are girls.

We’ve received a request for a family who needs help moving ASAP! They’re relocating from Allegan to Delton but don’t have access to a truck or trailer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
