Allegan County Legal Assistance Center The ACLAC is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit providing legal assistance to self-representing litigants.

The Allegan County Legal Assistance Center is a grant and donation-funded initiative and non-profit corporation specifically targeting those Allegan County residents who need assistance with legal processes but who cannot afford an attorney. The main goal of the Center is to minimize the impact on justice involving children, victims of crime, and people with disabilities caused by inadequate paper

work, untimely filings, or confusion about service and notice requirements. By providing legal assistance to self-represented litigants to facilitate access to the court system, the Center will afford the residents of Allegan County, specifically targeting low-income families, access to justice in civil proceedings including divorce, child custody, parenting time, personal protection orders, landlord-tenant disputes, guardianships, and many other non-criminal matters.

We’re stocked to the rafters with candy delights!
All lights aglow, bowl brimming with sweets,
From Snickers to Skittles, we’ve all the treats.
Bring your vampires, zombies, and superheroes too—
The courthouse is OPEN for TRICK-OR-TREAT CREW!
When: 3-5 PM, Halloween Afternoon
Where: Allegan County Courthouse
What to bring: Costumes, buckets, and glee—
We’ll fill ’em with sugar absolutely FREE!
No tricks here, just treats by the pound—
The friendliest haunt in the whole darn town!

The Allegan County Legal Assistance Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., assisting the last patron 30 minutes before closing.
